opening day 2023
about us

We are a Mixed Club in the centre of Winscombe village which is near Cheddar and Weston super Mare in Somerset.

We were founded in 1921 by three gentlemen who played bowls on the lawn of a house in the village'Hampden'.

We are a friendly club that enjoys a good Social atmosphere, including our Monday Night Club and two internal Leagues.

However, we also play more competitively too!
The Men in the Somerset County League where we now have 3 teams and the popular Weston Over 55's Triples League were we have just entered another team.

We had a successful 2023 - we won the Over 55's KO Cup - yet again! - and gained promotion in The County League to The Premier League. .

Our Ladies play in the North Somerset Triples League and the Wessex League.

Both the Men & Ladies play in National and County Club Competitions

Play on the Best Green in the Country!
